ESG Commitment

Widgie is committed to implementing tangible initiatives that produce environmental, economic and social benefits for the broader community.

The Company is proactively pursuing renewable energy solutions for Mt Edwards and is currently assessing the viability of utilising solar panels and windpower to supplement the Project. Widgie maintains strong relationships with the local indigenous community in the Widgiemooltha region and is strongly committed to utilising the services of local businesses in the development and operation of Mt Edwards.

The Company is targeting the exploration and development of critical metals, primarily nickel, which will deliver a cleaner future. Nickel’s importance in the transition to a circular economy is growing, as the metal possesses a critical role in the creation of renewable batteries. Additionally, potential critical metal by-products at Mt Edwards, such as copper, cobalt and platinum group metals, are integral to the creation of renewable batteries.
